Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired

Miami, 1991. With his bloodthirsty urges no longer able to be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he goes from college student to vengeful serial killer, under the guidance of his father, Harry.

Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025)

I went into this with pretty low expectations and mostly just excited about Resurrection. The first episode started off scary with the montages and the CGI cop car, and I thought “oh my god, this is going to fail.” By the end of the first episode, I was eating crow, as the actors were so perfectly in character and the story was immense.

Just one episode in and I’m already hooked!

Even though we already know a lot of the story, the first episode had a few surprises that added to the depth of the story. some of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and adds some context to the decisions these characters make.
