A prequel to the original Dinah, it tells how the Rossak sisterhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from one called 'Mentats of Dune'. All three books intertwine the development of Nursing, Mentat, Navigator and Suk Doctor.
It’s a great spin-off of the beloved movie franchise
This spinoff is more like Game of Thrones than Dune. Having said that, Dune: Prophecy is everything I hoped it would be and more. I must begin by saying that I have never read the source material or seen the original film.
I absolutely love both so I had high expectations for this series
My experience with Dina is based on the two Dina movies that came out in the last few years starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Those two movies (especially Dina: Part Two) are two of my favorite movies I’ve seen in the last few years. Dune: Prophecy is a series that takes place 10,000 years before the start of the Dune movies and how the Harkonnen sisters started the Bene Gesserit to fight against the forces that threaten the future of humanity.
it’s a lot of fun
The series may be more like Game of Thrones than Dinos, but either way… The most important thing about this play is that it does exactly what it set out to do in the fact that it deepens our understanding of the Bene Gesserit. You don’t have to have seen the two Dune movies to enjoy this one, but you’ll definitely enjoy it more if you have.
