I saw it in Cannes, at the premiere of the film
Mentioned in the Film Junk podcast: Episode 961: In a Violent Nature + TIFF 2024 (2024). “OH, CANADA” is an extremely original film by one of the masters of cinematography, a real work of art.
There are beautiful photos and magnificent landscapes
The film is beautifully made and has a strong visual impact. The acting is good, especially Richard Gere, who plays the main character.
Maybe it won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I think it’s one of Paul Schrader’s greatest achievements and a gift to movie lovers
He gives a beautiful and unforgettable performance in the style of Jack Nicholson from “FIVE EASY PLAYS” – a complex, not always likable, but convincing character. I recommend.
