Chronology
Released from prison, Lang returns to his hometown in northwestern China. As part of a dog patrol tasked with cleaning up stray dogs before the 2008 Olympics, he teams up with a black stray.
The story revolves around a guy who returns home after a stint in prison and takes a job ridding the town of stray dogs
Eddie Peng [the main character] developed such a strong bond with the dog Xin, who appeared in the film, that he adopted him after filming was over.. Director Hu Guan’s excellent drama from China, so it’s no wonder it won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard sidebar at Cannes this year.

The drama takes place on the edge of the Gobi desert in northwestern China. However, he unexpectedly connects with a black dog and both of them go on a new adventure.
